Describe a problem or conflict your character has faced in your reading. How did they solve it? Would you solve it the same way? Why or why not? If not, how would you solve it? (Must be at least 3 sentences. Double points this week!)
In my book right now (the sister book) Roo is still in the hospital and and is getting very homesick. She misses her family, the house she grew up in, and even her sister. Since Roo is doing much better since the accident and is so homesick the hospital moves her to a neurological home for the ill. Although Roo doesn’t like the thought of being in what she sees as a “nursing home” she knows that that is the only way she can get closer to home as of right not. I believe I would sole this conflict in the same way because it is the last thing that may help to succeed in getting to be “home”
A confict my characters are facing is they are being attacked by spiders and there is no way they can really beat the spiders so there is no way they can solve their conflict. But if I where in Aurthor’s situation I would gather a bunch of people to help me instead of just fighting with a small crew of fake pirates.
Myrtle was stuck on a lake made of rock surrounded by cactus servants that wanted to capture her. She solved it by singing, which for some reason hurt the cacti ears. I don’t think I would solve it the same way because I wouldn’t be singing during all of that. I would have probably looked for an opening and made a run for it.
At the beginning a evil spider named mr. webster attacked larklight. Arthur ran from mr. webster. I would have ran head on the beast because I think i have a very good chance at ridding of mr. webster.
The problem in my book is that Roo and her boyfriend broke up and Tilly likes him. Roo is made at Tilly because her boyfriend and sister kissed at the beach were they were holding her fundraiser. Roo won’t talk to anyone , she just wants to be alone all the time. The good thing is that Roo is moving her fingers.
The problem Jack faced in my story is when he mowed down his moms corn. He solved it by helping his neighbor Mrs. Volker write an obituary for who ever dies in Norvelt. No, I wouldn’t solve it the same way because I wouldn’t want to work with an old lady all summer. I would just regrow the corn for my mom and apologize to her.
In my book “The Forest Of Hands And Teeth” the characters are all facing a problem of their village being turned unconsecrated and they are tying to find a way to survive. They haven’t really solved this problem yet, but they are currently trying to find a place away from the unconsecrated so they can at least try to think of a plan. So far they found a new village with safe platforms and a house for them to stay in with food and supplies, but the house was taken over and the platform just started on fire, so now they need to think of somewhere new to stay.
In my book the problem is Roo cant talk. So the docters put chip in her brain. now she can spell on a computer. if a was her i would do that to but she still cant talk or move.
Alex lost his only friend at Point Blank. Alex solved the problem by going to try to look for his friend but he found everyone of his classmates sitting in this one cell and when Alex went out of the basement Alex found Mrs. Stellenbosch waiting for him out side and punched Alex. I would have solved the problem the same way but i would’ve opened the door then i would’ve moved to the side so that Mrs. Stellenbosch and the other guards wouldn’t find me then i would go and try to head to my room and read but if i got caught like Alex did i would go through the same pain as he did but then i would escape and head to my room and put on my bullet-proof ski suit and get my skis and head to the ski jump and make all the guards to follow me down the jump so that Wolf can capture Dr. Grief and mrs. Stellenbosch.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth!
In my book Travis is trying to escape the cathedral and Mary is scared that he is going to be caught. Travis also told Mary to get a rope and so she did. Travis put the rope out the window and started to climb down and then he realized that there are unconsecrated people down there. Mary was really scared that she would lose Travis and she started screaming on the top of her lungs. Travis solved it by going back up the rope so he did not get is leg bitten.I would solve it the same way because there is no other way to solve it other than jumping off the rope and get bite by the unconsecrated and then become an unconsecrated. Right now Mary and Travis are having an argument and Mary is keeping her mouth shut because she doesn’t want to make the argument bigger.
Alex’s problem is that he is getting chased by bad guys that have snowmobiles. He solves the problem by killing the bad guys and fake dies. I would solve the problem the same way.
In my book Alex Rider point blank a conflict he is having right now is that his clone tried to kill him. The clone succeeded, i think. The book doesn’t tell you who won butt i’m 99% sure Alex died.
In my book Jack mowed down his moms corn and got in trouble he solved his problem by helping out his neighbor with her obituaries. I would not solve my problem like this I would help my mom and regrow all of her corn back again instead of help my neighbor write stories about dead people.
Dead End
Jack and Mrs. Volker where trying to find out where the hell’s angle lived P.S. A hell’s angle is a bike gang the was a hell’s angle that came to the town and was dancing out of his mined a cement truck on accident ran him over and killed him so jack and Mrs. Volker have to find out where he is from. From what i know i would do the same thing as them.
In my book, The Forest of Hands and Teeth, a problem my character, Mary, faced was when the platforms started on fire and Travis ran through the Unconsecrated to tie the rope so the others could crawl across. Travis was attacked on the way to the gate, and collapsed after tying the rope to a large tree. When Mary asked why he did it, Travis told her it was because he had already been bitten earlier when the abandoned house they were staying in was attacked by the Unconsecrated. “I was already dead.” He told her, then he died, and came back as one of the Unconsecrated, Mary solved this problem by wresting Jed’s scythe from his hand and killing Travis herself, even though Jed wanted to do it for her. I would not solve this problem the same way, I would solve it by just letting Jed do it for me.
in my book says that he is aloun and has nobody his brother got taken away, his mom got shot at, and his friend got hit by a car. he is aloun and he is old and is trying to find a farm to sleep in for the cold winter.
The main character, Mary, in my story ‘The Forest of Hands And Teeth’, has a lot of conflict. In the story, Mary has to take care of her friends and help keep everyone safe. She must help her brother, Jed, stay positive in the state that they are in, now that his wife, Beth, is dead. Beth was killed by Jed, Travis, and Harry, Beth`s two brothers, after she was bitten by an Unconsecrated. The conflict right now is that her and her friends are all in danger. They are all in a new village that has been overrun with Unconsecrated. Jed, Harry, Cass, and Jacob are all in a ‘safe house’ up in the trees while Mary and Travis are in a house on the ground. Travis and Mary are in the house on the ground for the reason that Travis could not get up the latter because of his injured leg. The house that Travis and Mary are in is boarded up so the Unconsecrated can`t get in. The tree house that Harry, Cass, Jed, and Jacob are in is safe from the air, as long as the ladder is up. The Unconsecrated pileup by the door of the house that Travis and Mary are in. Everyday that goes by, the more and more worried the star cross lovers become. The more damage done to the entrance of the house. Mary is scared, so is Travis. He has to stay strong for Mary. His injury is an addition to all the trouble. They have to get to that tree house before it is to late to escape. They have a plan and get across the giant space between the two houses and Travis was bitten. Mary seems to be the only one who is really freaking out. Harry, Cass, Jed, and Jacob all seem to feel like they have to let Travis go before he slows them down even more. When Jacob accidentally starts a fire, they must retreat from the tree house. The tree house is surrounded by Unconsecrated and there is no other way to escape, so you thought. They send Travis to jump off the end of the tree house and go to the fence and open the gate so the others can go through and they would be safe. Travis was brought down by some of the Unconsecrated, but he still made it. He was bitten. Mary was the one who killed him right before he turned. They had no where else to go, no one to look up to. They were lost of hope. If I were in this situation, I would have done the same. I would have done the same because there is really no other way to really deal with this kind of problem in reality, so you do not have much to work with while facing death. I would also want to kill Travis myself to show that I would want to be the one to set him free before he is faced with the tragic life of an Unconsecrated.
the problem of the story that Jake got grounded for shooting off his dads Japanese rifle and mowing down his moms corn.
and the solution to his problems is nothing I think because I haven’t read all of the book some chapters I scanned through so I could catch up with my group
