Choose a setting from your book and describe it in detail. When you close your eyes, how do you picture it in your head? What time of day is it? What location are you in? What is all around? ( At LEAST 3 SENTENCES!)
My book is “This is Where it Ends” the setting that I chose is the auditorium. I picture the auditorium to be very chaotic and filled with injured and scared people. There are chairs everywhere from the speech and a stage in the front which Tyler is on. It is around 10-11 o’clock and it is located in the backside of the school.
The setting I will be describing is Luke’s room, I can imagine his room being a medium sized room with a wooden floor and wooden walls, the walls would be at an angle to because Luke’s room is in the atic. Another way I imagined Luke’s room to be was gloomy with a little ray of light coming from the vent Luke has above his old book shelf full of magazines and worn out books. Lastly I would describe Luke’s room as dusty with dust particles everywhere so every time you breath you suck in a lot of dust.
A setting I choose from my book ‘Geek Girl’ is when Harriet and Nick are under the table at the fashion agency. I can picture it being midday in the middle of Birmingham.I can imagine there being a bunch of tables scattered in the giant hallway. There would be one against the wall in the corner of the room. That would be the one Harriet and Nick are under. There would be a scent of perfume and new clothing in the air. The floor would be hard wood, with rugs under the tables. The wood floor would be waxed, and slippery. The rugs would be rough, to hold the tables in place. There would be just enough room for two bodies to fit under each table. The cloth on the tables would not be long enough to cover the whole underside of the table, some of it would be showing. There would be tons of people crowding the hall. There would be things like bottles of perfume, clothing items, handbags, and makeup on each table. Both Harriet and Nick would be slightly wet with sweat. There would be a vent by each table to keep the products ‘fresh’. That is what I can picture my setting looking like.
The setting that i picture in my head is when Ben and Selkie are in the other world trying too find her mother. the time of day is in the morning and close to night so Ben and Selkie need to get back to Boston so her aunts don’t yell at her because she is not supposed to leave without permission. What i see is a lot of animals talking to each other
In my book my setting is the small town where corrien lives. In the town it is day time with a blue sky.there are houses everywhere. there are many people there getting water and making food.
The setting in my book Blood Will Tell, the setting is in a local town during winter. When I close my eyes I picture the town to be full of snow, small, and friendly looking. I picture it this way because in the book it describes what a beautiful it is for what awful things may happen in it. When I picture this it is nighttime, chilly, dark with the sky lit up in stars. I picture that I am standing only a couple feet from where the center of both accidents were, because that is what location is described most.
I am reading the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” the setting takes place at Hogwarts in the castle. When I close my eyes I visualize Harry walking in the castle with Ron. The location that I am in is the common room this is where everyone eats all of their meals and there is usually candles that hang from the ceiling. When ever I think about this it takes place at night.
My book is The Infinite Sea, The setting I chose is the room where Evan was laying. When you walk in there are to beds next to each other on the opposite wall. The wall to the right of the wall in front of you has a window and there is light shining in from the sun. By the wall opposite of the beds there is a dresser about 4 foot 5 in height, and 4 foot in length. The little green bomb that is about the size of a pill is sitting in a foggy white zip-lock bag on the dresser. On one of the beds Evan is laying down sleeping with all of the burns and injuries on his body, Cassie is laying next to him and they are holding hands.
In Library of Souls the setting I chose was the subway station.
When I close my eyes I picture I’m underground in a subway station in London. There is a bunch of glass on the ground. There are two dead Wights on he ground. Its in the morning and it sounds like there is a train coming.
My book is “A Ghost in the House” the setting is their house. I picture their house to be very big. It has two stories not including the attic. There are hardwood floors, and a wide staircase leading upstairs. At the top of the stairs there is an open area, kind of like a balcony, so you can look down to the first floor. On the first floor I imagine the living room having two leather couches and an armchair. I also imagine there being a coffee table, and a fireplace in front of them. the fireplace would be a nice brick one, and probably has some family photos sitting on the mantle. The kitchen is big and cheery. It has large windows and lots of space in it. It also has a small table that is a light tan color. In the dining room I imagine a long, solid wood table. I imagine it having red walls, and a chandelier over the table. Upstairs, I imagine there being a long hall, with many doors on either side of it. The first door would be to Sarah’s old room, that Great Aunt Margaret is currently residing in. It would be a large room with two arched windows in it. There would be a large four poster bed with a blue comforter on top of it. There is a tan, wooden dresser in between the two windows. On top of it there is Aunt Margaret’s Dresden shepherd, and a couple of other things of hers. there is a nightstand on each side of the bed. On the opposite side of the room from the bed there is a fireplace big enough to walk into. It is made from grey stone, and above the fireplace there is a large painting of Aunt Margaret when she was younger. She looks very similar to how Sarah looks now. She has brown hair, and blue eyes. I imagine she is sitting up straight, and has her hands folded in her lap. The walls of the room, are probably a light blue color, and Great Aunt Margaret’s wheelchair is sitting in the corner. Then down the hall, the very last door on the right side is Sarah’s room. It is smaller than the others, but it has recently been redone, so it looks nice. The walls are painted pink, and the room probably still faintly smells of paint. There are hardwood floors, and a couple of nice, afghan rugs scattered about. there is a single, twin bed in the left corner of the room. It is nicely made and has bright yellow blankets on it. It is a wrought iron bed, and probably uncomfortable. there is a small night stand sitting next to it. There is also a single window in the back of the room. In the corner of the room, there is also a ladder leading up to the attic. The whole house looks very cozy, and cheery. But it is always very cold, and has a sad, lonely vibe to it.
Scott and his fellow comrades where on a mission and they got ambushed my a group of 10 to 60 insurgents they where well armed. The Marines where dinging in and they new they were going to be there for a while the was gun smoke in the air there where moter rondos going off all over. The Marines loved the smell of gun smoke they had to fight for two days. With out back up.
