Are the characters believable? Why or why not? Be specific and use examples from the text to support your answer. Use at least 2 complete sentences and make sure to state the book you are reading. That will not count as a sentence.
I am reading the Wizard of Oz. In the book,Dorothy is believable. She is just a normal little girl from Kansas with no abnormalities, but everyone else is not believable. Lions can not talk, scarecrows can not talk or walk, and there is no way a man could get his head chopped of and live to tell the tale by having someone build him one out of tin.
I’m reading the book “The City Of Ember”. I think that yes, the characters are believable because they are just pretty much just regular ordinary kids and there is not really anything special about them. Even though, the situation that they are in is not very realistic of living in a town with no way out and no light from the sun, the characters are still pretty realistic.
In my book Football Hero I believe the characters are realistic. I believe the characters are realistic because they are normal people in a normal setting. However they do some very action packed thing. They gamble off of a kid, go to the FBI with proof of illegal gambling , as well as protecting Thanes carrier and Uncle Gus’s life from really dangerous criminals.
I am reading the book Wizard of Oz. Dorothy is believable because she never told a lie and she is really nice. Dorothy is going to the Oz because she wants to go back home to Aunt Em.
Football Hero : I think the characters are believable except Ty’s uncle’s friend who is a maniac who goes and tries to go and hurt Ty’s brother so that he can’t play anymore.
I think that janie is not believable because all the stuff that happens in the book is so predictable when you read the book you say to yourself oh i know what happens next and the book tries no build suspense but i doesnt work its almost like she is acting.
Yes the characters are believable because, they still eat like people and drink like people. when the city starts to run out of resources the people get very mad just like a regular person would, and when Lina finds the instructions she starts to investigate like any adventurous kid. Finally the characters are believable because they have all the traits that a regular person would.
I’m reading The Face On the Milk Carton and the characters are extremely believable. Mostly because the only characters are kidnappers and whining High school students. The only time Janie actually does anything about the fact that she was kidnapped she bails seconds away from meeting her real parents.
The City of Ember
I think they could be people in the real world. They live in a city like real people. They also have jobs they they do on a daily basis.
The book I am reading is The Face on the Milk Carton. I think the characters are believable in the story because they don’t act any different the we do in our every day lives. I know this because in the story is says “She got off at the town library and went inside.”This explains that she is a normal person like us.
The characters in the Wizard of Oz are not believable. They are not believable because they do things that they can not actually do in real life. The characters like the scarecrow, the tin man, and the lion talk in the book but outside of the book they cant actually do that. They only do that in the book because that is what the author wants them to do in the book. He wants the characters to seem magical to the readers for entertainment and excitement. The author also wants to create suspense for the characters to use themselves in situations that require their abilities. So, in conclusion, the characters are not believable.
Yes, I would believe my characters because they are nice and truthful. If I was the teacher of that class I would believe their answer or part of the story. It happened in the story they Ty and his friend Charlotte got in trouble or something the didn’t do. That is why I would trust my characters.
yes it is real because i don’t think that Ricky would go thought all the trouble of trying to get bake his mother so i say real. if it was fake i don’t think his dad doesn’t work at the DEA or he just wants attention
I am reading “The City of Ember,” and I think my characters are believable because they sound pretty ordinary to me. They don’t have any special powers or anything, they’re just normal kids. I think everything that has happened so far could happen in real life, for example, you could live in a city with no light other than the city lights, if the city was underground, that would also explain why there’s no trees there. Also lights can go out in real life, and mayors can steal things. Another thing is in real life you probably could get in trouble for “spreading vicious rumors” about the mayor in real life, but you probably wouldn’t go to prison for it, you would most likely just get sued for slander.
My book is The City of Ember I think the characters are believable because there trying to find a way out of the city. Doon seems really believable because he trys to go to the generator first.
In my book Football Hero there is a young boy that plays football and an older brother that plays in the NFL. I think these characters are pretty believable because anyone can have an older brother that plays in the NFL in this case there is. I also think this book has believable characters because there is nothing supernatural or magic happening so Football Hero has believable characters.
i am reading the book the face on the milk carton. I read so far was that Janie and Reeve found out that her parents are actually her grandparents. Janie and Reeve went to the mall where the milk carton said that shy got kidnapped.
Yes, because they all look real. Dorthy wants to go home, the scarecrow wants a brain, the tin wood man wants a heart, and the lion wants his courage. My book is The Wizard of Oz.

The last sentence does not tell me any more of how she is believable.
Football Hero : I think the characters are believable except Ty’s uncle’s friend who is a maniac who goes and tries to go and hurt Ty’s brother so that he can’t play anymore.
You are short a sentence and proof read before you submit.

This is all one sentence. Good reply, but you need to use complete sentences and state the title of your book.

Good entry. You forgot the title of your book.

Reword your last sentence and explain more how that makes her believable.
The City of Ember
I think they could be people in the real world. They live in a city like real people. They also have jobs they they do on a daily basis.
Could use more detail.

they = that? Forgot to name your book.
The Face on the Milk Carton
Janie is freaking out about the thing where she thinks she was kid napped. Reeve and Janie kissed and Janie pulled away.
How does this make them believable?
yes it is real because i don’t think that Ricky would go thought all the trouble of trying to get bake his mother so i say real. if it was fake i don’t think his dad doesn’t work at the DEA or he just wants attention
Wrong section you commented in. What is the title of your book? Also, proof read before you submit.

How exactly do those things make them believable?

i am reading the book the face on the milk carton. I read so far was that Janie and Reeve found out that her parents are actually her grandparents. Janie and Reeve went to the mall where the milk carton said that shy got kidnapped.
This does not tell me if the characters are believable or not.
Yes, because they all look real. Dorthy wants to go home, the scarecrow wants a brain, the tin wood man wants a heart, and the lion wants his courage. My book is The Wizard of Oz.
You feel the scarecrow and the Tin Man could be real people on earth?
